it is not actually NBB that is responsible for updating the library it is iTunes. unfortunately iTunes only does that when you quit iTunes. of course NBB is not dynamic because of that and you would therefore need to quit both and launch NBB.

the long number is because the movie was unable to open i would need the log info to see what error occurred, but suspect it may have something to do with itunes renaming something/deleting it; then when NBB goes to play the file it is not there or has been renamed.

I haven't had time to play with it much, but if I update the podcasts and then relaunch NBB the new episodes appear - without quitting or relaunching iTunes. So it look like iTunes updates it's Library file on the fly.

I'll try to get to work early enough on Monday to grab some log info.

By the way, do you need any more info on the Radio module crash on sleep bug?

    Thanks again,

    Sean

well if itunes is in fact updating the XML on the fly then It is possible to reload the library without quitting NBB. I may add a button in the prefs to manually reload the library and maybe even farther in the future I can have the music module watch that file for modification events.

As for the radio module don't worry about sending me data for that until I get a new build out.

Using the latest version posted here, the bar along the bottom of the music module usually has "Playlist", "Artist" etc, but for me it's blank.

yeah lol you have never set custom preferences for the order or even what filter are down there. (you did know you could do that right?)

anyhow I had posted a "work around" when i posted that build but it turns out that the workaround didn't work due to the dragging operation requiring an image to start.

I am posting a slightly updated build that addresses this issue as well as others. meet me at the check for updates thread.

Ran into a couple of problems with the new beta. The program crashed when I was messing with the appearance controls. I haven't got the crash log yet, but I will try to do that tomorrow. Also, the bottom slider of the RGB controls (B I think) is almost off the screen on my display. Also, the home buttons get pretty grainy when I manipulated the contrast. Any suggestions on that?
Any day is a good day for golf.

I wouldn't worry about sending me crash logs related to the theming engine. until the whole app and framework are ported to the new engine there will be several known issues. as for the grainy home button that should have been fixed in the build i posted in the update thread like 3 days ago. If I am mistaken and that got fixed after that build then just wait a few days and there will be a new build with a fix.

I see what you mean about the slider being almost off the screen on lower resolutions. I will address that before it goes final. also don't worry about the previous and next buttons as the final build those will be smaller round icons set in the bottom corners.

In the meantime there is another build i just threw out if you are interested in doing some more testing
