Seems like a great price for a 1.6 ghz atom, 512 mb of ram, and an 8gb SSD. They make a 12v>19v DC car charger for the dell mini 9 to power it for $8 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...443336&afsrc=1). I need something to control the power button though, any ideas? I was going to use the MiniSpark (using wake on lan) but I guess the mini 9 doesnt support WoL. Is there a way to T the remote turn on lead from my amplifier to the power button on the laptop?
EDIT: I found out they make touchscreen conversion kits for the dell mini 9s for like $80. If someone can show me how to extend the LCD cables I can mount the dell mini's screen in the dash and mount the mini in the glovebox and have a working carPC and touch screen for under $400.
EDIT2: Just found out you can't extend the monitor that far, has anyone stuffed an entire netbook behind the dash?

If the mini 9 doesn't support WOL you can still use the miniSpark's (when we're ready to sell) Output Drivers as an ACPI switch trigger. This of course would mean you have to hack into the mini and connect to it's ACPI port.
WOL is the major feature of miniSpark but we wanted to maintain an ACPI solution for just this kind of setup. You will still be able to configure the StartUp & Shutdown delays thru our APP GUI.
