Hi everyone. I've been researching carPCs for the last couple of days and I would just like to know what some of you more experienced people thought of my plan. Most of the things I have listed here are just things that I have had lying around, so I guess this is a budget plan because in total, I will have to spend less than $300 for the entire setup.

Frontend:
Probably LinuxICE2 with a dual boot of Windows Embedded NavReady

DC-DC PSU:
180W DC-DC ATX/BTX

Remote Control/Touchpad:
EFO

Touchscreen:
Lilliput 7" VGA Touchscreen 629GL-70NP

CarPC:
Motherboard - MSI 645 Ultra
Processor - Intel Celeron 4A, 2800 MHz
Graphics - ATI RADEON X300
DVD Drive - Dell Latitude D420 CD-RW/DVD+RW ROM Drive KH449
Wireless Card - Netgear WN311B
1gb DDR3 RAM

Also I will have my operating systems on a 4gb compact flash card (connected by IDE) and all of my media and stuff on a 1tb external hd which I can bring in my house if it gets too cold outside.

Also I will have my touchscreen wired to my Eclipse CD3414G headunit (through the aux in cables) so my guests won't have to figure out the interface to just start a CD =P.

My car is a 2003 Chevy Malibu if that makes any difference
