Does anyone know if my carputer would actually fit into the case I selected? I didn't see anywhere for add-on cards... heck, I am not even sure if the board itself would work.

5v and Ground all that's needed. I'd suggest either getting yur 5v from the molex. If you don't wanna buy another small power supply to give it 5v you could just hijack it from one of the hdd molex connectors. same with the ground you'll need.
i didn't do an external style phoenix soho personally. mines internal(using a LAN gaming cube so slots not an issue)

How bad of an idea is it to put a carputer in the trunk? The amount of space I have available is ridiculously limited.
micro and mini itx always mess me up(shouldn't micro be smaller then mini?!)
as long as you can get some air flow to the carpc, a limited space trunk install should also work
my carpc is under the passenger seat, mounted on a sheet of plexi...
