    2002 F-150 Boss Carputer Build

First and foremost, thank you to everyone at MP3Car.com! This site has given me all the information i need to build my Truckputer! so this is what i got coming in the mail:

    1. 4x 3.5mm to RCA Cables 10ft.

    2. SoundStorm F4.400 4 Chanel 400w amp (i bought some 6x8 240w Pioneer Speakers from Wal-Mart for now). http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...orm_F4400.aspx

    3. M350 Mini-ITX Enclosure http://www.mini-box.com/M350-univers...-itx-enclosure

    4. 7" TFT Monitor, that i will be upgrading soon! http://www.mini-box.com/s.nl/sc.8/.f...FT+LCDMonitor+

    5. Truckputer Specs: 1.66GHZ Duel Core Intel Atom Processor, 4G DDR800 Memory, 60GB SSD HDD from OCZ, 7.1 USB External Audio Card, and the JM3-ATX 125W DC to DC Power supply.

For a front end i am going use Centrafuse 3.1, on Windows 7 Ultimate. I will have no CD/DVD drive and will be using Daemon Tools for a Virtual DVD Drive. ( 13 Year PC Tech and CEH )

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. i am horrible at custom fitting stuff, but am going to give it my best shot. Puter will go in the glove box, and im going to google my butt off on finding a way to custom fit the TFT Monitor into my existing 2DIN Dash. Ill take lots of pictures as i go and let you all know how it goes. Thanks in advance for all the tips, and suggestions!

HA! Just found out the neighbor does fiberglass fab!! "Ding Ding." Even better I have a member on here hooking it up! Thanks Dave!

have you seen the bybyte dd screen enclosures? they bolt right up for the lilliput 629/701, and can make mounting a little easier..

I have not but my tentative plan is to take my existing 2DIN apart and use its shell. the measurements are almost exact.

    Finally!

So I got home today and this is what is at my door!

Finally the "guts" of my Truckputer plus some. I have decided on a 8" Lilliput screen instead of the 7" i originally ordered, so its going to take a little longer to get my system completely installed.

Here is a pic of the parts that were in the boxes (AMP, M3-ATX PSU, Cables, MoBo, Memory, 64GB SSD)

In Case anyone is curious as to how quick a SSD is, from first turn on to first desktop, start to finish it took 13'48" to install Windows 7 Ultimate. This was using a USB HDD to install not a CD.
