Well people dare not haze me, all though I would enjoy it if the person is hot enough. I came prepared though, I have 4 dogs already, lol. Their not little dogs either!

Also, why not hunt down a Visteon or Directed HD radio and get a cable from Mitch?

oh yeah, you are running windows 7 and CF... yeah, you need the extra power...

As for software in general requiring more CPU power... that may be true on the desktop. It's certainly true in the video transcoding/rendering and gaming areas. However, in the car, I see more optimization than I do anything else. Look at MeeGo, every binary in the entire OS is compiled with optimizations for low power and the speed of the Atom CPU. Optimization is a huge issue in the forums. There are topics everywhere about it.

Yea, true..... there is also an area of people that are putting heavy CPU systems in their cars. Not as many as the Optimizers though. I just think his choice is odd. I have a ZOTAC also, but with the nVidia 9300 chipset. In the manual it states that the PC needs a PSU at least 200 watts or more. i dont know if Zotac just pulled that number out of their booties, but I sure took it to heart and plan to use a OPUS 360.

Subscribed - I have an 08 Coupe too so curious how it will go.

Will you be able to use that "dead space" under the trunk floor carpet for any of the components? I have the same non-Bose system you do and that area is raised/filled in with hard foam (it is where the nav and Bose amp would be otherwise).

I have this computer on the bench running CF, Garmin mobile, boomzbox all on win 7 and the m2 is fine. Why do you think it won't be sufficient?

And I do need the processing power because im really impatient for one, and its the slowest core 2 duo we stock. The zotac was a good choice because its got hdmi and dvi, takes lga775, has mini pic for on board wifi, and eSata for fast external hdd connections.

m2 will be fine for power. I've tested your setup with all my award-winning 19 usb devices and it worked fine. Only reason i switched to DSATX is i wanted to monitor it.

I dont know, I just was so obsessed with their number I guess. If yours can run on a M2, then maybe the rear system I am building, which will use a C2D and 2 pci graphic cards will run perfectly on a OPUS 320.

Let me ask, do you plan to cold boot, hibernate or standby?

He probably plans to hibernate, but i'm gonna the idea of him putting a power cell and battery isolator in his car like i have so he can use hybrid sleep
