your right, it doesn't fit perfectly. Mp3Car has a service im using that will do some fab work to fit the screen with the extra plastic that came with the kit. Ill post pics when it gets back.

But to answer hiJack, I actually plan to cold boot. Hopefully with the SSD and win7 it will be quickish. If I get ****ed at it, i may scrap windows all together. My mac only takes about 12 seconds to cold boot, and i don't have that great of an SSD.

For a while though, and for these videos it will be all windows. I wanna try this hybrid sleep business I think people would love to see this in action. (bite my tongue because i haven't searched if its been shown here yet)

I did not pay for it, they gave it to me as a courtesy of buying my new car.

Yep, sonic is right. It's quick if you hibernate/resume. cold boot is painfully long though... even with an ssd.

let me ask.... how fast is hybrid sleep? the speed would be based on the length of the Bios right, or does it straight up just pop up? i know hibernation you have to wait for Bios.

You know i never thought about buying the stock double din from nissan. I just bought the metra one. But I think the metra one comes with more parts so you have more to fit the screens into.

I also never thought about the spot in the trunk, i COULD put the computer there or I may reserve that space for an amp one day. I gotta check out the size of it, because if fits the computer that may be the best spot.

Although the glove box (where i was going to put it) is like 3 feet deep, seriously, so i was just gonna sit it far back in there. We'll see how much it takes to run the wires.

if you resume from the sleep portion of hybrid sleep you see no bios. Takes 3-5 seconds to get back to music and have control of the PC again. If for whatever reason you lose power while the computer is sleeping you do get the bios and the pc just resumes from hibernation like normal.
