    Newb Alice's MX-5/Miata Setup Question

i got a 2006 Mazda MX-5 aka Miata. i see projects involving older Miatas but nothing involving the gen 3 body (2006-2015). i was wondering if anyone might have tips on how to do it. i have found a computer company that custom builds car pc's. they even have a input for car antennas and wired to put sound out like you where installing a normal aftermarket double din radio. i also know a local car audio shop that dose car pc builds too. i am trying to figure out which might be a better option for me since i have only built full size atx and eatx builds.

if i do build myself is there any east way to tie into the stock bose 7 speaker system? or is it more complicated to set up sound. they really don't make any good after market speakers for the mx5/miata. the doors can be replaced with component speakers but will 2 components give a good enough sound out of them?

Anyways sorry for my run off question. wanted to say thanks in advance, Alice

Personally, I prefer to keep the stock head unit if possible, and connect the PC audio into an AUX input on the head unit. That way, all of your stock head unit functions still work (like steering wheel controls, bluetooth, FM/XM, CD player, etc).

If your stock head unit does not have an AUX input, you can usually find aftermarket adapters. I got mine from pac-audio.

Then, the tricky part is just figuring out where/how to mount a touch-screen.
