Blaxtream TC1000 PSU wiring loom Question???

Tried to post this in the powere supplies forum but it didnt seem to work. apolgies if i have double posted.

Hi Guys, First an intro.
I was a member of this site until about a year ago. Then CarPC got put on backburner. Now I have rejoined as the CarPC is back on as I am sick of the limits of the Ipod but my old account had disappeared. I haven’t needed to post a question as yet as I have a bit of knowledge and know how to search for answers.

I have just got one of these Blaxtream carPCs (generic branded one it seems) (I know people don't think much of them but it suited my needs) I plan to mod it at a later date.

So now for my Question...
The wiring loom on the carpc has the following wires. 2 yellow 2 black, a red and a green wire. The manual says to connect the green to the handbrake sensor or ground. The red to acc, the 2 blacks to ground and the 2 yellows wires to constant 12v.

So I guess the green wire turns the video output off somehow when the handbrake is not on??? For legal reasons of driving with a screen on???

The red wire to acc is fair enough, but why are there 2 yellow wires and 2 black wires?
I thought it would have came with a 12v output wire to power my screen off. But don’t understand why there are 2 yellow wires and 2 green wires.

Hope someone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Bingo.

The two power /round wires are there to carry the amperage load that the PC could potentially draw.
Now, it would make more sense to use a lower guage (thicker) wire instead of two thinner wires. I'm pretty certain they use the two thinner wires as a cost-saving measure, although that's just speculation.

Use the yellow and back wires from a HDD connetor and run the line to your screen.

I thought as much as 2 why there was 2 wires but didnt want to blow the thing up straight out of the box.

Using a HDD power rail is a great idea, didnt think of that!
