    lillput pc

    Hi i am kind of new into the car pc thing, ive had my screen name for years but i kind of lost a little interest into the car pc, but now im looking to get back into it. I was wondering what would be best for an 1997 Acura Integra?

    I was looking at the lilliput indash car pc, not sure how good it is, just wanting to get everyones opinion. here are the specs of the pc

    Description: Lilliput TC-1000 In-Dash Car PC and Motorized In-Dash Touch Screen Monitor

    These two units combine a perfect in car entertainment systerm. The size of two units together is double dins.
    The Computer can be operated as a Car PC or Home PC with two power supply of 12V and 100-240V AC adapter. Its mechanical structure and electricity input are designed for automobile enviroment. Power wire and 100-240 AC adapter included.

    Specifications:

    Via Blaxtream TC-1000 with 1 Ghz CPU, 266 Bus (DDR), VGA card, Sound Card and Lan Card on board.

    CPU: 1G

    Memory: 512MB DDR RAM

    Hard Drive; 40 GB Hard Drive-5400 RPM and 8 M Cache

    DVD Drive & CD/RW

    Bluetooth on Board

    Intelligent power control with voltage input of 7V -24 V.

    Power Consumption: 30-48 W

    4 USB ports: 2 in the front and 2 in the back

    Automatically shut down with 20 second delay: when the power of automobile is switched off, the computer is automatically shut down and it has 20 seconds delay to switch off the power supply for the computer.

    Dimension: W 6 7/8" X D 7 1/2" X H 2"

    This might be good since the integra is kind of double din, but i am not sure how good the pc is, just really looking to use it for music, and navagation, and maybe dvds here and there. Let me know thanks

    It is just like a via M10k in one of those single din cases. Good enough but expensive. You can build the same thing with one of those cases from the store, and a M10k off of ebay or something.

    I had a M10k for a year. It worked perfectly, and was more than enough for everything. I upgraded to a Pentium-M because I started doing more graphical programs (AutoCAD/X3/CS2).

    If you want other options, the T3 from the store is actually pretty well priced now, and the G4 isn't too bad, but if you can deal with 2nd generation stuff like the M10k, then the T3 should be ok for you too.
