    integrating whole car through carputer

I have a 2000 chevy s10. I would like to run a carputer. I've been doing the research on building a computer, that could handle everything. so I would be going with somthing with at least a 2.4ghz dual core, with 4gb ram on a microatx mobo. I know they have OBD II scan tools and stuff like that. And I could put my fuel pump and starter on on/off relays, so I could control that stuff. But im talking about stuff like my door locks, car alarm and stuff. That I would wont to have going when my truck is off, and has been sitting for a while. Anything you can say about some more advanced stuff would be a great help.

Not to be nitpicky, but punctuation really does make it easier to read your posts. If your posts are easy to read, people will be more likely to help out.

I'll suggest you take a look at the Fusion Brain sub forum in the general hardware forum. It should do what all you are looking for if I understand you right.
