micro atx?

hello im new to this i was looking around i was just wondering if i was to build a micro atx to save on money would a spec of 1.3 gh'z with 512mb ram be ok i will be looking on building a system capable for

mp3
video
web browsing
gps
and posably more as i look into it

and i was looking at the ratings of the power units and was wondering if the 250w opus system would power it as i think these work and would look more professional than an inverter i was going for a top end system looking at the 2ghz 512mb ram + but decided against this as the heat is greater and needs more power for the cpu

would i be correct in this idea and any recomendations with this style of setup

most of the accessories will probably run via usb

ATX/uATX/ITX all are just sizes. You can get a uATX board with embedded via processor, and you can get an ITX board with a socket for a Core 2 Duo. All that part is is the physical size of the board.

The smaller it is, the more expensive it is. If you have the space, save your money.

As for your questions, we need some more info. a 1.3Ghz what? AMD, Intel, Via? What series? Mobile or Desktop?

ok my desktop seems to run ok so will give the spec of that but would be looking for same in a micro atx it would be a
1.3ghz duron desktop
256 sdram 133mhz

but would get a higher spec board for the micro atx which would support ddr400 dual channel and would probably get 2x256 mb sticks

also the cpu could be a mobile as this will be more durable or do the desktop cpu's run ok

any more information needed?
