RE: Replacing Stock head Unit on 2007 Nissan Versa

Hey all,

I searched the forum for Nissan Versa and I only got 4 posts in return, what I was hoping for was some feedback to know if anyone was successful in replacing the stock head unit, and if they were able to maintain the capability to control the volume and such. if not what did you do to replace that functionility?

I am kinda terrified of tinkering with my car and breaking something. I definately have the technicial background to do it, but I want to make sure that im not going to end up ripping out my headunit to find out that no one has sucecssfully done this before.

I'd recomend going to a car audio shop and asking them for an adapter.

an adaptor for what? and if an adaptor does exist, will I still have use of the stearing wheel controls? What about the audio, do these devices have the power required to provide ample signal to the stock speakers?

I found a wiring harness on ebay, but I am still conserned about losing the functionality of the buttons on the stearing wheel

That's what I'm referring to, you need to go into a shop and ask them for an adapter.

companies like PAC audio and the like make adapters for this very reason.
