mp3car newbie, just saying hello.

Hi All, I'm Davey, and I'm from Liverpool in the UK.

I've been toying with the idea of a carputer for a while now, and after researching for a few months and planning everything out, i figured it's time to start.

I'll be fitting my carputer into my 1999 Renault Megane RT Sport. Originally i was looking to mount my screen (7" Lilliput Touch Screen) into my dash after seeing the wonderful jobs that everyone has done on here.

Unfortunately though, i doubt i'm going to be able to do this. There's just not enough room. (I'd have to lose my A/C controls and try and make a new single bezel from 2/3 different ones) (See Pic)

Controlling the AC wouldn't of been a problem really, i was going to use my steering wheel stalk controller to interface with a PLC unit and control both the electrical parts as well as the mechanical (i.e. switching where the air blows to)

But anyway, i've decided now to mount my screen on the supplied lilliput mount on my dash. (It is only my first carpc anyways).

Well, i hope to keep you all updated on this, and will post some pictures in the log.

    Thanks All,

    Davey
