True Newbie

Okay I am really new at this but I have purchased a touchscreen monitor (very cool I must say). but I have an extra computer in a regular computer case (laydown tower) can I use it? if so how do I hook the power up to it, it is a regular 110V power cord. Any help here would be very appreicated. I cant afford to start from scratch so if i could use this puter that would be pimp.... thanks

Easiest way is to use an inverter. Inverter == sux0rs.

2nd easiest way is to replace the AC-DC PSU with a DC-DC PSU. Which DC-DC depends on your system's specs.

okay so i bought the CarNetix CNX-P2140 V1.1 Dual Output Regulator but i am a little confused on the wiring so do i need to replace my powersupply in the case with a different one or can i just open up the power supply and find the main power or is it more complicating than that?

I saw in another post that someone had the same powersupply that i just got but he had a mac (yuck). and the wires were already comming out of the case ready to be hooked up. any other help would be appreciated. Also I downloaded the manual for the CarNetix Powersupply and the manual is version 1.2 but the box and i have here is version 1.1 is there any diffence that i should be awear of? thanks everyone i really do appreciate all the help!

If you couldn't afford to start from scratch why didn't you research that PSU before you purchased it?

Okay now I see where i made my mistake I ordered the worng powersupply. I ment to get the OPUS 250W powersupply but did it in a hurry and screwed up. thanks everyone for the help.
