    Question organising music

when i use software such as tag & rename or media monkey they edit the file names & tags but i dont see a way of getting the files renamed so the 1st part of the file name starts with 01, 02 etc, i have to edit the files manually afterwards.

anyone know of a quicker way or maybe a batch file that would simplify this?

i know i can save a playlist with the tracks in the correct order

I swear I've done this with Tag & Rename. Here's a section of their readme:

The information will come from the tags, so this would assume that the track number tags are valid.

Also, check out . Free alternative to Tag and Rename, kicks butt.
