    New here, crx

Hi guys I'm Chris and I drive a 1990 Honda CRX Si.
ususallly I hang out over on www.crxcommunity.com

I've been interested in carpc for quite while but have been obsessed for the past couple of days.

Right now I'm looking at a via system, lilliput, etc. I really haven't planned too much because I don't have the money to implement my plans(ah, to be seventeen year-old). To be honest, it's fairly likely that my car will get a motor swap before a pc. I plan on keeping this car for a very long long time,(read forever) so I'm sure it will eventually get a carpc.

I have some questionsregarding front ends: looking last night, my first inclination was to go with street deck, due to my lack of much experience with "homebrew" software. But the more I research, the better RoadRunner starts looking to me. How do the two compare far as functions and fluidity? Also, is there a place where I can kinda of see a running history of the two programs?

Well, enough talking, time for pics. Here's my pride and joy:

Let me know what you think, alogn with any suggestions or insightful comments.

    -Chris

Clean rex man, got any pics of the interior?

You know you can make plenty of power with that single cam, right? Plus, when you beat people and tell them its just a single cam, their jaws drop and they feel even worse =] Just thought I'd throw that out there man..

Im looking for a clean 90-91 Si right now, for my next project, going to be putting in my computer that ive been working on, and eventually a turbo B20 =]

Honestly, I would go with RoadRunner. Its free, you can do whatever you want to it, and the people who use/make/develop it are all really helpful.. It's what I'll be doing, and I havent found one thing StreetDeck can do that RR cant..

The histories of both frontends are on these forums. It's a lot of reading, so be prepared.

I don't think either Streetdeck or Roadrunner is better or worse than the other, really. They both have their strengths and weaknesses.
You can download each and check them out to determine which is for you, epsecially since you have time before you actually implement the carPC.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Thanks guys, here is an interior pic:

I'm thinking modify the single din, to be double, then stick a 7" lilliput in there.

I think this is one of the very few CRXs I have seen that are not painted "primer blue"!

I like the Honda. Look forwards to a PC. And PC > Engine Swap.

Do what I plan on doing.. Remove the climate controls, and have the PC control em, then you have both those slots for an LCD and slim DVD/CD drive
