So... why use roadrunner if you're using linux?
There are some guys/girls? who have used linux successfully, without road runner though. They usually created their own frontend
Hello,
I searched and the term Linux never shows up in my searches... I'm curious to see if anyone has used a Linux carputer and then used RoadRunner via Wine, since there are no currently completed front ends for Linux (that I've found).
I would like to have a completely open-source carputer project (eventually), thus linux...

From what I have seen on the forums the main issue with a Linux front end is the GPS/Navigation side. There are no real goos solutions available at the moment but I am sure they are being worked on.
I remember a thread a while ago where someone was trying to get FreeDrive (A destinatoor based GPS) working using wine but was having issues with some of the VB runtime files.
So I guess RoadRunner might well have similar issues as it too is written in VB.
However why not try it?
