    remote starter

    is there a way to find out what kind of starter is installed in my car when i bought it it did not have remote and i know it is no factory it is 98 sunfire

    find it in your car and look at the labels
    Sunfires come apart real easy, I used to own one, just start pulling at panels
    or find out where remote starters are installed in the car and start looking there.

    if it's an aftermarket one, typically it's installed near the steering column, but a lot of shops like to hide it to prevent tampering. I'd start there.
