AMP specs for Pioneer TS-E 6960

    Hello,

I am looking for specs on an amp to power two Pioneer Three way TS-E 6960 speakers. They have the following specs:

    200 W max music power
    60 W NOM power
    4 ohm impedence
    70 W RMS

    Thanks.

Prety much any 2 channel amp would do the job.

Thank you for your reply. Actually, I wanted to know the specs. This is what I think I need from reading of other forums (might be totally wrong understanding).

    - 2 channel amplifier with 4 ohm impedance and 35 W rms per channel.
    OR
    - single channel amplifier with 2 ohm and 70 W rms to connect the 2 speakers in parallel.

Please correct the above specs and also add in valuable information. I want to know the specs as I will be connecting the amplifier b/w mp3 player and speakers (I have another thread going to seek help doing that).

Anyway, so I need to have the amplifier input a audio level signal equivalent to my mp3 player out signal. The amplifier specs will help me more as I will be able to narrow down my choices on what will work. Unlike USA, I do not have an opportunity to return the equipment I buy. So what I purchase will stick with me whether it works or not. I need to do some good research before investing.

Do you want mono sound? Presumeable not, so buy a 2 channel amp. As for power - anything from 15 watts to 100 watts would be fine.

Most amps have input sensivities of 0.2-2v which is fine for conencting the headphone output to.
