Clifford Concept 600 Help

Hello, I'm having some trouble with my Clifford alarm, I just drove my car home, and went to activate the alarm, but nothing happend. I tried using the spare remote but still nothing happend. The alarm has armed itself automatically, and I can't open the doors without the alarm going off, I also can't start the car.

I have absolutely no idea what I can do! Has anyone had similar problems, or can recomend something I can try?

While the12volt.com is a better resource for this question. I'll try to help. It may be that the code hopping feature is the cause, and you're 'not in sync'. Do you know where your valet button is, if it's installed and how to use it to turn the alarm off?

Thanks, do you mean putting my car in valet mode using the keyfob? I know how to do that, but that isn't working either.

No, there is a button that comes with the alarm, that the installer may (or may not) have put in a discrete location, which can disable the alarm when pressed in a certain sequence. He/she (never met a 'she' installer) should have shown you where it is and what the secret sequence is. Some installers just assume you don't want it, and/or are lazy, and don't install it.

Ah, well, when I bought the car the alarm was already installed, and theu guy I bought it off didn't mention anything about a button in the car to turn the alarm off. I do have a valet code if that's any use?

The fact that you have a code is a good indicator that you have this button somewhere. Sitting in your car with the alarm screaming isn't the ideal time to go poking in all sorts of nooks and crannies under the dash or inside varies cubbies looking for it, maybe you can try disconnecting your battery. Then maybe after reconnecting it the remote will work. otherwise, with the battery disconnected you can find the valet button. Once you find it, you can connect the battery and press the button the number of times indicated by your valet code, to disarm the alarm. Then you can try to reset things by arming the alarm with the fob, pressing it a few times until they sync up. If that doesn't work, you will have to go through the procedure for pairing up a new transmitter to the alarm, with your existing transmitter. Maybe you might want to try replacing the battery in your fob, first.

Hmmm, this is rather odd, I've been trying the alarm all afternoon and it's not worked....until now! Think i'll have to get it looked at as I can see this happening again!
