In dash monitor: Response Automatic In-Dash 7" LCD Monitor

Hey guys,
I have an 'Response Automatic In-Dash 7" LCD Monitor', I was expecting to find more than the 4 wires <Blue(Back running switch), Black(Ground), Red(Acc), Yellow(Batt)>, there was no audio, which i thought there would be front left audio ect. it also has TV antenna and RCA input plugs. There are also RCA output plugs, if i want to run this monitors audio through my radio, do i have to use the RCA output Left/Right audio plugs??? And if so how do i connect the RCA audio plugs to my radio to do that. sorry if this sounds like a stupid question.

As far as powering the screen and switching on/off, I see no need for anything else. And then video input. Is it VGA and RCA? or just RCA? Maybe a URL link to the product would help.

Again, I'm unfamiliar with that particular monitor, but from the sound of it it's just a RCA monitor. Why would it need audio? Does it function as a tuner/head unit as well. If it doesn't then I don't see why it would need to have audio plugs. I'm thinking, if it has no audio plugs, it is only a monitor. Only video, but again, I can't go look for myself, google didn't provide any obvious products that match your description.

it sounds like you thought that the monitor had an amplifier in it. was that in it's description?

even if it did, then it would have been a crappy amp anyways, so you really didn't lose anything.

yes, if it has RCA audio outputs then that is what you'll use. how you hook it up to your "radio" depends on what head unit you have. if your head unit has an aux-input then just use that (you may need an RCA>3.5mm adapter). if your head unit doesn't have an input then you'll have to use an FM modulator (not good sound quality)

since you're installing a carPC (unless you only wanted the TV?) then you can bypass the head unit altogether and feed the sound right into an amplifier (you can run the monitor's sound output into the carPC's line-in or use an RCA switch to switch the amp's input between TV and carPC)

Connect them, to your headunti via it's AUX input (if it has one), or via a AUX input adapter if it has CD changer functions.
