Hi, I am a new member, found this site very usefull and dynamic. I am moovinng to Canada, they require day lights on cars, low beam need to be on as soon as the ignition is on. Need wiring diagram and info on what to do. If you know how to solve the problem I'll be very happy. Thanks

I think you may have found a forum that is not best suited to answer your question.

You may want to try one of the following forums:

    nissanhelp.com
    nissanclub.com
    nissanforums.com
(there are many more along those lines)

Because of the Intelligent power supply in the vehicle and the use of the CAN bus by the BCM, it may be something that someone can change by programming with the appropriate dealer-used computer interface ConsultII/III? Because of the way power is controlled by a computer, I'd be weary of trying to jumper it over as would be more appropriate with cars the do not have these types of dynamic power supplies. Have you asked a Nissan Service department if they can do this for you?

The guys over on the 12 volt forums might be a little more knowledgeable in this area.

Go to a store called Canadian Tire and buy one of these:

Simple to install, about $25. The pic is also a link to the company who may make a DRL module that will plug into your factory harness. Also, you could take your car into Nissan and get them to install the OEM module, but that might cost more.

I had to put DRLs on my JDM import vehicle too.
