Newb in a Buick Park Avenue

    Bonjour à tous.

This is my project : a carputer in a '93 Buick park Avenue.
Today, I've all of parts for my project.

    LCD : HF701T 7" VGA Touchscreen

PC : MCS made : Intel D201GLY with 1.33Ghz celeron, 512M DDR2, M2-ATX 160W, MCS box, HHD Toshiba 20Go 2"1/2, External HDD Samsung 80Go 2"1/2, Muse LT Pocket USB sound card, running with XP N'lite + RR.

    Audio :
    Front : O² Speaker + GM-600 Pioneer

    Some news.

The carputer is mounted, fully fonctional.
I'm testing 2 GPS software : Igo8 and Sygic drive.

Now, it's time to build a front console to hide my PC.
    The plans:

    Test phase:

    Center console ready.
    Made with medium and beech
2 switchs (1/ start the PC, 2/start the amps)
Coolermaster musketeer : Audio VU-meter, Temp sensor and fan speed regulator.

    In the car.

    Just a problem.
I've some noises in the front HP.
The positive cable is plug directly to the battery, negative cable directly to the car (20cm / 8"), Triple shielding RCA cable.Try to change my amp with a jensen 2X20W RMS, same problem.

I'll try a ground loop isolator.

No problem with the rear speakers.

    RR out, replaced by Centrafuse.
new GPS software : Sygic Drice 7.5.

Your setup is very nice. Seems you did it in no time. I do have a suggestion though. Take off the hardware your using on the center console. It looks like something that should go on your kitchen cabinet door and looks really tacky. Maybe you should flip the hinges to the inside so you cant see them, then maybe spray paint the handle black? Just an opinion.
