Airplane entertainment system from a newbie

I am looking at creating a entertaiment system for a 4 place homebuilt airplane, basic set up in mind: Two motorized touchscreens in front, 2 touchscreen in back seats, audio for headsets at each seat through the normal intercom phonejack. cpu control for different audio and video at each seat. Is this even possible or would I have to use seperate cpus networked together (weight, space, and powerconsumption is the issue here)to do this? After looking at differant front ends (centrafuse, streetdeck) I see that they support multi screen options but not seperate sound cards. Is there any front end that does? I am just at the planning stages and do not have any hardware yet. Any nudges to the right directions or advise would be helpful. Or am is this just wishfull thinking?

Have a look at the embraer 170 entertainment system. I recently flew on an air canada embraer and was quite impressed!

    Aircraft Systems

I know they make complete systems in aircraft industy that do what I want but I don't feel like dropping $40,000 - $50,000 (just in the boxes, not installed) in a system when the airframe is only going to run $15,000 to build. I am a Avionics Installer, I know the price tag on that type of equipment. Thats why I am building a homebuilt aircraft. I don't have to deal with FAA certification of the equipment going in to enterainment systems, Just the Navigation and Communication equipment and thats bad enough.

I am also an avionics technician.

I was not saying to buy the complete system, but only to use it as a model.

Other than that, just slap in a puter and a couple touchsreens and you're done. As long as you're running a 12 volt and not a 24v, or you could get into inverters and such. Kind of excesiv ein a homebuilt, which is usually light and low powered.......

    Saudi? FAA?

I assume you're building one at "home"? (not saudi)

I am going to build some of the parts while I am in here in Saudi and start experimenting with the entertainment system (got to do something in my spare time. Gets quite boring after work just sitting at the villa on the computer). I do plan on 12 V using a Mazda Rotary Powerplant. What I am questioning is control of the audio, As I do not know anything about programing. What is the best way to learn the programing of the software and writing code? I am after all just an installer, we would let the Rockwell-Collins guys figure out the software bugs. I am not seeing much that lets me control multi sound cards or am I missing something? Also what is the best and easiest languge to learn for a project like this.
