    Vanden Plas...fresh untouched ice.

Well, I'm at the point of my build that entails setting up my computer (which of course means my stereo, gps, xm, dvd, etc, etc.) in the car and first things first is the components.

Okay, don't jump on me right away, but I'm looking for some feedback on my choices. I have limited space (single din), so the choice I made is easy to understand. My trunk is basically full of airsus components and soon to be speakers as well..but still to maintain trunk space and not clobber up the interior. I had thought about an in-dash touchscreen lcd, but then thought about the minimal space I have for the cpu. I have all the bells and whistles in this car so under the seats in not an option as there is already electronics residing there...and I mentioned the trunk already. Before you mention the glove box...yep, you guessed it...taken. Ergo:

LILLIPUT TC-1000 (one Din In-Dash Computer system with 1G CPU, 512Mb DDR Ram , 40GB Hard drive onboard Sound card, onboard Lan card and onboard Modem, DVD.)

    LILLIPUT EBY701 (7" touchscreen lcd)

Streets & Trips 2008 GPS map, antenna and software complete
XM radio PC module, software, cables and USB
HD radio module, software, cables and remote
Windows XP SP2 home edition installed
    Full function Remote Controller

It actually comes with a lot of stuff..but not worthy of listing IMHO. I, of course, plan to run Road Runner on it and since I'm a graphic designer I plan to do some skinning as well. What other items will I be needing besides what I listed? Just making sure I have what I need before I get going. I plan to run additional screens in the car (headrests & sun visors)..what additional items will need for this? I'm not too concerned with the main lcd mounting as I plan to build my own dash mount pod (I do glass/carbon work as part of my hobby). Also..how will I run my speakers through this system since I won't have a regular head unit any longer? Yes I read the "New to CarPCs? Don't know where to start?" thread...and checked the links I thought would answer my questions...I'm not a forum noob..just a noob here..haha. I know hat the search function is. Just looking for feedback and maybe a few answers. Thanks guys.

Not sure if you will like it better but I would take a look at IGuidance before you buy Streets and Trips. To me it seems like a much better fit for the car but that is just my opinion and you know what they say about them.

For the speaker setup you will need some kinda amp to power the speakers. Did a quick search on LILLIPUT TC-1000 but didn't see any mention of an amp built into it. So depending on how many speakers you want you will need 1 or 2 amps installed. If you just have 4 door speakers you can buy 1 4 channel amp then you will use something like this to connect from amp to the computer.

Yah, that's what I was thinking. I'll be running 2 amps. One to power the subs and one for the 4 door speakers. That input looks like the right adapter too.
