are you talking about FM transmitter (send audio from source to radio) or FM receiver (takes radio into sound)? You used both in your question...

I don't understand exactly what your question is.

Are you trying to get the sound to the head unit or to the computer?

Please elaborate and be a bit clearer with your question please.

I assume to the head unit. If so, you tune your radio to the fm transmitter frequency and it plays through the head unit.

The big drawback to this is that you are limited to fm radio sound quality. If it's a transmitter (what it looks like in the picture provided) and not one of the units that goes inline with the antenna lead, you can get interference as well...

sorry guys english is not my first language

i will try to break it down to basic questions

the front end for the car pc has the option of playing radio channels (FM 99.9, FM 102.1, etc...)

the device the i was showing in the picture above plugs in to the computer and recieves fm signals and makes my pc plays FM radio channels

the problem is .. it has its own software (instant radio) and am not sure how to make road runner take advantage of this FM reciever ( or i guess i should call it tuner?) and play the fm channels

basically i want something that does what this device does.

I guessed that was french and i was right so i google translated it and read it in english
Do you have the file "USBRadio.dll" RoadRunner your record?

Have you ever purchased radio USB? If you have not bought, I suggest the HQCT: http://store.mp3car.com/ProductDetai...ctCode=COM-009

In RRConfig should label is a "FM Radio" with all of the things that you will need for your radio.
thanks for trying but my 1st language is arabic
so i guess staying with english would work better
so i got the part of where you asked if i have USBRadio.dll .. yes i do but can you please provide more details (sorry a Newbie what can you say :P) and i do actually have an FM tuner but not sure if it would do the trick

Hmmm, if I had to guess, I bet it's using the silabs chip. Select the "silabs" option in RR config and see what happens.

Search for "silabs" and "road runner" on the forums for more info, it's been discussed many times.

You may want to try the "radiator" option in the RR config application as well.....

These are my best guessed as I've only ever used radioshark and the visteon hd radio.

    Good luck.

    Hi The1Architect,

There has been a few advance's with this Tuner lately so your in luck.

The tuner in question is Silabs chipset based and supports RDS/RDBS but the original usbradio.dll didn't do a very good job of decoding the info but some clever guy's on http://www.digital-car.co.uk/ have improved things 100%.

There's also a sound quality issue with the unit in the form of an intermittent tone which is clearly audible if tuned to a talk station (the original Silabs unit doesn't have this issue)
The guy's working on it have fixed this issue too.

    Here's what you do......

Download the latest RRConfig or check that the one you have has the silabs radio option under RADIO.

Plug in your unit and select silabs in RRConfig then save and exit.

Download this = http://innovatedaudio.com/griff1/ADSConfig.zip and run the ADS config app and click on the "download firmware" button, you now select from "ADS NoiseMod.dec" which will fix the tone and allow you to use this version of the software = http://silabsradiodll.googlecode.com....7%20beta3.zip (download this and paste the USBRadio.dll into your RR install Directory)

Alternatively you can choose to install the silabs firmware "Silabs Standard.dec" which will allow you to use this version of the software = http://silabsradiodll.googlecode.com...-1.7-beta5.zip (download this and paste the USBRadio.dll into your RR install Directory)

The benefit of installing the silabs firmware is that the USBRadio-Beta5 has direct sound or ffdshow audio processing.

Finally you need Guino's latest RR beta which supports the new RDS label, you can get that here = http://guino.home.insightbb.com/RoadRunnerBeta.zip (discard the usbradio.dll contained in the folder as its outdated now)

I know thats alot to take in so if you fancy catching up on the whole story you can check out the thread = http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/s...ead.php?t=8867

PS,Not sure that BMV skin has RDS support but i might be wrong, either way if you like that skin you should download BMV2 the updated version.

Hi mate, glad i've been able to help so far.

Which firmware and app did you go for? If you loaded up the silabs firmware then you need to unplug the radio for your pc to re install it as the silabs.
