Although it appears no one is tuned in for these updates i'll keeping giving them
I just got a 32GB SSD drive from newegg for 100 bucks so i'll be using that instead of my flash card + adapter setup. It is a Patriot PE32GS25SSDR 2.5" 32GB SATA II Internal Solid state disk (SSD). You can look up the specs if u want but the read time is like 170MB/s and write is like 100MB/s or something like that.... Get it before the 30th and it will be 100 otherwise it will be 150

Well ok i'll keep posting
I'm thinking about getting the Carft CFT700 SH instead of the LinITX transflective. I know i've heard that the Carft screen is just a rebranded LinITX screen but the LinITX doesn't come with a remote and doesn't have a light sensor although it looks like it does. Their description doesn't say it does...
Any thoughts anyone??

Thanks for that info on the Patriot SSD. Mine came in the mail yesterday - hope they don't Jam me on the rebate.
Me too lol.. I just put it in with the carputer and wow it is suprisingly fast. Much faster than the CF solution.

Did you do a regular windows install to the drive? Or did you mess with Nlite or any of the write filtering solutions?
That is the strange thing i did both and the full xp install had the fastest boot time.... Kinda strange huh? If i used minilogon with a full xp install it would have a really fast boot time. Of course i have to wait 20 secs to even begin the post and from there its only like 6 or 7 secs to full boot.
