Alrighty... After days of work on my RR this is my status
freefone from polaris skin(EL CAMINO) 100% working
wifi manager (modified from EL CAMINO's wifi manager)100% working
google earth 100% working
visualization stay on when switch screens (a little flicker but its on)
I believe i'm pretty much finished with this software just have to pick a background that will work. I'll post a video soon.

yea i made my own skin for the wifi manager. ideally over that wifi symbol the windows wifi manager will embed. I'll have to test that on my laptop though. I'm going to make an installer for the LSX Void Skin that i'm using so i can easily keep track of everything. I'll probably post it here too

Not sure if you are aware of this, but LS is working on a WIFI manager for Void in a future update............
Search his thread for "wifi".
N idea when it's comming out though, he's probably been pretty busy lately as he's only been by on sundays it seems...................

Yea i saw that earlier but i'm too impatient lol.. I thought i read he was doing somethign with scrolling or something like that... It could've been an old post though. I really made my own so i could understand the coding a little better and now i do hopefully i can get some other things to work too.

Your void seems pretty slow to respond to most commands. Do you preload skins on startup?
Google earth is just painful to watch it's so slow.
What's your CPU loading like?
For the "dull" colors on the background, you need to adjust the opacity until you get something you like. I hven't messed with it in a while, but if I recall, it's in RR config.
That visu flashing in and out between embedded and not as you switch screens would drive me nuts! Meh, different strokes.............
"Pure understated power"?
Yeaaaaaaahhhhhhh, ooookaaaaaay................................
Pretty good work overall. Keep at 'er!
Cheers

Yes it is slow and i wasn't sure why. I'm only loading two skins. The audio player and the external gps. I know RR loads the menu.skin but i should probably preload the atl_menu_cont.skins and i guess some other basic skins too. My CPU usage is never over 19% but then again i'm running a quad core too so i don't know how much that factors in.
On the dull colors i went into rrconfig and the opacity was only there for the avs visualization none just for the background.
The flashing gets on my nerves too but i haven't quite figured out how to make it a smooth transition yet. Any suggestions??

Alright it turns out the reason the colors look all dull is because of the MENU_ON and MENU_OFF.pngs have this semi transparent grey overlay which is what makes them look a little dull. So what i did is download paint.net and modified it to be a much lighter grey overlay. This is what it looks like now.
After that i was so impressed with the paint.net software which is free by the way i started playing around so more and editing more of the images. I changed the freefone limage to this:
I also figured what the hell let me modify my wifi manager screen too and this is what i came up with
