Hey guys, just thought I'd post up a quick thread to show my progress. I've been using this site as a resource almost exclusively for the past several weeks, and finally decided to register. Here are the specs of my CarPC:
Currently, it's running from my Acer notebook, but I'm building up a more suitable long-term replacement. The specs of the setup I will have running in a few weeks are:
Lilliput 7" Touchscreen
SoundBlaster Audigy Sound Card
ATI Radeon Video Card (not much, like a 128mb card I had lying around)
60gb notebook HDD (for multimedia files mostly)
8gb HDD (for Windows XP and the rest of the software I'll be using)
Microsoft GPS Reciever (Came with Streets & Trips 2008)
Sirius Radio Reciever
USB FM Radio Reciever
Slimline Slot-Loading DVD Drive
I'll post up the rest of the details as I get everything ironed out, I still have a ways to go. I got my touchscreen bezel finished up (for the most part) yesterday evening, so I guess I'll post up some pics of it. . .
Oh, I guess I should probably share some info about the car it's in as well. . .
The car is my baby, a 1993 Pontiac Formula. It's not much, it looks alright, runs great, and has served me well since I bought it, but I was looking for ways to make it unique, to stand out at car shows. It's Bright Red in color, and it's mostly stock save for the 1998 Corvette C5 "Wagon Wheels", Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs, and Flowmaster 80 series muffler.
