Thread: What do I need for factory head unit controls with carpc in oem integration

Hey everyone, wondering if someone can shed some light on what I need...

I have a 2006 Mazda6 MPS/Speed without bose. I'm currently getting parts together to do an audio install with a car pc. I plan to run the factory stereo into a Alpine PXE-H650 and connect the car pc via the aux input of the same unit OR an aux input in the factory head unit. I have read that the alpine unit require you to leave your factory head unit at the same volume and adjust volume using the alpine units remote control... my questions are

1. Is it better to connect the pc through an aux input adaptor for the H/U or aux in the alpone H650?
2. Is there a way to be able to use my factory radio/s.wheel controls to control the volume... using an aux adaptor, car2pc adaptor, infra-red repeater... anything or any combination lol
