Two sources into an amp ?
Was just wondering if it's possible to hook up two different input sources to an amp with using one to two rca adapter? will this burn one or the other source of input ? or will it reduce the quality ?
I have got one of those Xenarc X7000 unit, which has 4.1 output (front L/R, Rear L/R and Subwoofer out), and a carpc that i will be puting in at later stage. I want to connect both the carpc and the xenarc unit to an amp using two different set of rca cables, which means if i run the headunit and carpc at the same time, it will have two different sound mixed together.
The main reason i want to do it this way is 4.1 channel sound output. Due to both the Xenarc unit and carpc only support stereo input, which means if i input from one unit to another, say output the carpc to Xenarc x7000, then from that xenarc to amp, all the output from pc will turn into two channel which is not native anymore even if it's processed in xenarc unit into four channel.
So what do you guys think? doable or if not, what's the solution if available? Not using any switch if possible.
Last question hope you guys pro out there can help. Features wise, is P2140 better or M4-ATX ? one is external, one internal. But external is good coz it's much easier if i want to change carpc if needed to, (like hook up a laptop, or change to different type of pc often for testing purpose), but if the features on M4 is way better than P2140 that you think is worth to have than P2140, i will probably have to reconsider it. any suggestion?
