Another Newbie and a 4x4 pc set up :)

Hi from a newbie in the UK

I have been busy reading and studying for the last few weeks and thought I had better register.

I am about to start to a new project car for green lanning and want something better than my current PDA set up running Memory Map (off road) and Tom Tom (on road)

So as I build the car I intend to fit a built in system to run all my sat nav, music, Video recording ect ect.

Any way thanks for all the information I have already found and I hope to post pics as I go.

    Rich

    Greetings!

One thing that can be really nice abt carPC is that you can have a much larger lcd screen size and quality, plus ripping ones' own cd's losslessly to HD brings the whole muzik library wherever you go...

    Blessings and nest of luck!
    Happy CarPC'ing!

Yes the screen size was one of the big issues for me, trying to read a PDA screen while bouncing about can be tricky.

3 years since I 1st posted this and I have just installed my 1st attempt at a system. Talk about spreading the cost

Will post up in the project section once I have resized the pics, Think my pics are bigger than the car itself
