Well, I believe I once saw a plugin for RoadRunner that could get your podcasts. I'm not sure though.. Try to request one in Software > Front ends > RoadRunner > Plugins, I'm sure that somebody will be willing to help.
Hi!
I'm about to choose my first front-end, but there are SO many! My car-pc is connected to the internet through EDGE/3G, and I have one feature request for my front-end: It should be able to download and play the latest episode of my favourite podcast.
Which front-ends can do this? GPS navigation would be nice too..
Thank you.

Looking forward to picking up a '99 Ford Focus and stuffing a CarPC into it! I'm going for the OEM look. If anyone has tips or are willing to help me, please feel free to contact me!
Yes, I'm Danish :-)
Ok, thanks. I've tried a couple of front-ends now, but Road Runner crashes for some reason, so I have not been able to test it. Came across http://www.cpos-online.de It looks great, and I can create .asx shortcuts to my favourite radio-streams. So if I can convert the Podcast-xml-file to some asx shortcut, Cpos would be nice. One MAJOR downside: It's all in German (should have paid more attention in school).

Me too, but lets keep our posts in english as it's an english forum :-D
StreetDeck has a DigitalMod called PodCast too. If your podcast is located at www.podcast.com, this plugin should do the job. IMO StreetDeck is very nice, as it's very user friendly and suits all of my needs. StreetDeck has navigation too. You can get it with navigation for Europe at the MP3Car Store for $200 (940 kr,-).
EDIT:
After further research, I believe that the DigitalMod for StreetDeck is designed for streaming podcasts.

I will look a Street Deck. Right now I'm waiting for my Touchscreen bought at Ebay to arrive.
Yes, Cpos is opensource. An English translation would be good to this project, I think. It also works with Destinator, I just found out.
I'll take a look into translating this. Maybe do some language files to make it easier
yea, but Destinator is discontinued, isn't it? :/
