Just to be clear here, svideo contains no audio.

But you can buy a cable that as reagler said has multiple cables wrapped inside it, which has video and audio. But again on the laptop side and the headunit side, you will be plugging in more than 1 wire each time. Also the touchscreen will not work, and again the video will suffer big time. Hook your laptop up to your tv using the svideo cable. Look at how it looks, and you will believe us.

From what i know, USB video cards aren't cheap and they are bottle necked because USB can only all so much bandwidth to go through it. They make those for people who don't have analog signals and only digitial. But i also have never used them so who knows. If you get that cable I posted above, all you have to do is disconnect/connect the s-video and audio cables. Using the usb video and audio connector seems like a more complex and more expensive way to go. Plus you would have to use two usb ports, one for video and one for audio.

If this is really the course you want to take, then have at and if you get it to work, write a tutorial!

p.s. toaster, its reegler, not reagler its ok though, i forgive you

I think they typically they come in 6ft (2m) lengths. You can always buy extenders.

The 360 is a pretty horrible device to put in your car. You will need a dedicated line for it from the battery/.
