    Newie Looking for advice

Can someone please advise me the best way to mount a screen in a Vauxhall Corsa B 1997. I don't want a flip out screen as I want to keep my headunit for FM.
Any advice would be greatfully appreciated.

Considering we have no idea about your overall plan, it's difficult to make suggestions.
Are you going to relocate the headunit?
Do you ant the screen in the dash OEM-style?
Are you OK having a screen as an "external bit"?

I don't think you've put much planning into this yet...
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.

Sorry, I should have made it more clear.
I plan on keeping my head unit without relocating it.
I would love to fit it oem style in place where the heating controls are but I'm not sure as to how hard it would be to relocate these.
I plan on mounting the actual pc in the boot and mounting a self powered usb hub in the glovebox.
I have already purchased a car pc.
    Here it is.
If anyone could recommend a good usb fm tuner then I would be quite happy to ditch my headunit and fit a pop out screen and fit an amp.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hello there, I am also planning a Corsa B install. I am not bothered for an OEM install (it's an old crappy Corsa anyway so I'm clearly not that bothered what my vehicle looks like), the headunit was stolen quite a while ago so the din slot is now free and I am thinking that it is probably a good place to attach a mount of some sort. My touchscreen is quite heavy as it measures 10inch diagonally across the panel and it's in a metal case, I was thinking I could maybe use a bracket of this type with the mount inside the din slot and the other part attached to my touchscreen so I can take it out at night.

Is this a sensible idea or should I put a bit more thought into this, does anybody have any experience or ideas on this?

All input will be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the forum. Basically an install comes in 2 parts...what to buy, where to put the screen. Locating the screen is usually the hardest part. Take some pics of your dash and start doing some basic planning on where you think the screen should go...

    Read the FAQ also...

cool...check the Work Log section for examples of what I am talking about. Most of the pics in there have some drawings that show where they plan on putting the screen...nobody can do the work for you, but if you give people enough info to work with they can probably help out...give as much detail as you can...show that you have done some of the groundwork to get your project going...

Here's what i think is probably the easiest thing to do in your case is. ditch the radio all together and install mitch's HD radio. This way you'll can now put your monitor where your radio use to be plus, you'll get better sound with the HD radio and you can put the reciever under the seat or in the boot! But again like froalskiner said, shoot us some pictures and don't forget to do the leg work! Honestly on this site if you don't show that your doing leg work or any kind of work for that matter. No one will even think to help you out!

Good luck and welcome to Mp3car.com!!!
