    Thumbs up newbie needs guidence

    G'day all,
    Am from australia (Darwin). have been lookin into a car computer for my WRX MY06 for a few months now,

    Stumbled on this just wanted some expert advice before i spend my pay check on this project ..

    I personally am not a fan of the pre-built PCs, just cause they're over priced. I suppose it depends on your budget, skill level, and amount of time willing to dedicate towards the project, so building from scratch may not be the best option for you.

    I went with a pre-built PC, it was this one here. I found that I couldn't build one with the same specs for less, so that was what I went with. I also went with this screen and it works very well and is pretty visible in bright situations.

    yea it really all depends on how skilled you are at computers and fabrication. Keep in mind that if you want to put the screen into your dash, that will take some fabrication.
