Im looking at this system now from a guy on here. Everything seems pretty good but the motherboard. I was hopping for 2.0 Ghz but it has 1.3..... How well will that run a FrontEnd plus internet and a system? I want a pretty good system. Let me know what you guys think please. This will be my First one. Thanks again!

I dont know which you mean in post #1 because 1.3Ghz or a 2Ghz CPU A does not equal 1.3/2.0Ghz CPU B.
The via chips come in C3 and C7 versions. Then there are Intel chips with Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Duo, Quad Core, then Pentium M, Pentium 4M, Pentium 4 (and Northwood/Prescott), Pentium D, Celeron M, Celeron, and the list goes on. Clock frequency has very little meaning by itself.
And that in the second post is a via C7 chip which is plenty fine for a basic system. You wont be doing 3D graphics on it, but it will work. I used a 1Ghz C3 for a while.

yeah we can say cyprix models too, but none are in the range of what the guy was talking about since he did say clock frequency of 2.0ghz to 1.3Ghz. So that rules out AT's PII, Punch Card computers.![]()
I love my AT computer. built in security features now since nobody knows what to do with a DOS prompt. Few people know how to boot windows from the command prompt![]()

yes i remember the days.... sigh...
back when a 1MB stick of or ram was about $120
and a 40MB drive was the bomb
win
And the best part: no speakers. Just the little chips that beep.![]()
