Resuming from hibernation cuts the startup time down by roughly half, if not more.Upon turning the ignition wouldnt you be waiting for windows xp to boot up and seeing how computers boot up from my experience is not instant. So is this the case with the carpc?
There is also standby mode, but that requires some power draw to maintain the system state in RAM. That has the potential to drain your battery, however the resume from standby time is significantly faster than even a resume from hibernate.
