    USB Hub

    Hi,

My question is simple, I'll have around 10 things to plug to my computer using USB. So I'll need at least 1 USB Hub. I have seen that some of you were using "powered" USB port and was wondering if it was necessary? or I can use a regular one?

    Cool 5v line?

I run my 8" lilly & a Belkin 4 port hub off my M4-ATX. A powered hub will take the load off your MB. Most ports are rated at 500ma (I think) each. A 4 port UNpowered with 3 things plugged in (200ma each=600ma) and you've got problems. You will have things turning on and off at random. I would highly recommend a powered hub.
