Thread: dvd reciever help

I have a uknown DP video dvd reciever i bought from frys electronics i have a video input but when i plugged my computer up to the video input my computer or the monitor is not recognizing it, how ever i brought my dvd player from in the house and my dp video dvd reciver recognized it and started to show the video.Is there something i am missing or will i have to go out and by a pc to tv box so it an recognize it.
