Hello all I am new here, and new to car pc's. I have read all the faq's, but did not find my answer.
My question is as follows.
I am building a system for my 2000 cherokee using a Jetway J7F5M2G-VHE Mini-ITX Mainboard and the voomPC-2 case.
What do I need to do in order to output audio from the mainboard to an amp? I have not purchased the amp yet, as I am not sure what speakers I am gonna be installing.
However that shouldn't matter to much, either way I am gonna need to output the audio from the mainboard to the amp.
Any advice, or links would be much appreciated.
It's an amazing community here, and I can't wait to post pics of my project once it gets going.

yeh that actually doesn't help me because I am not using a sound card, seeing as the case I have chosen has NO support for a pci card.
If I was using a sound card I would not have made this post because I saw that.
I need to use the on board audio. Now if I need to use the same stuff for that, then that's different, but you did not mention anything just linked me.
Anyone mind telling me if that same set up will work, I am replacing the stock system with, the following.

Again thanks for the post, just like I said I have already read that, and I am not using a sound card, and no where did it say on there what to do if your not using a sound card.
it's looking like if I want to run sirius through the car pc that I am going to need a sound card anyway, so my thoughts are to upgrade the case, but then the question becomes how to power the case if it is not directly attached to the battery line. I'd like to avoid having to plug into a cig outlet just for aesthetic purposes.
it doesn't matter if you're using onboard sound or a PCI/USB sound card, they both hookup the same way. you can buy the separate adapters like the FAQ pic shows or you can get a 1/8" stereo plug -to- RCA cable like this:

thanks so much man
I thought it was completely and totally obvious that you use the same stuff. Just because your sound card is built in, it is still a sound card...!
Next you'll be saying that it doesn't work for sound cards that are green because all the sound cards in the picture are black.

why do you think that?
your jetway board's onboard audio should have the same input/output jacks as a sound card. just use your 'line-in' jack as your Sirius input.
