    Hello,

I suggest reading the FAQs to get a good basic understanding.

Also the P3 will be sufficient. Some of the popular Via C3 and C7 CPU's on lots of CarPC motherboards, are equivalent to P3 700Mhz (1Ghz C3) and up. So you will be ok, but not mind blazingly fast. So dont expect awesome 3D effects and visualizers, but for basic CarPC and GPS and Video Playback, it is what I used to begin with.

    As for cheap: eBay

Part of this hobby involves figuring out what you need.
Many people have put many hours into compiling information for newbies to this hobby, just like yourself.
You say that you've read the FAQs, yet you don't know what you need. That indicates to me that you may have looked at the FAQs, but didn't read and/or absorb any of the information they contain.

Judging from your posts, English may not be your primary language, and that could be part of the problem.

For power, an inverter would work, but is less than ideal.
A good solution is an auto power adapter for your make/model of laptop.
A better solution (if it will work with your laptop) is a Carnetix regulator that included a startup/shutdown controller.

You've already decided on a touchscreen.

Other than installation materials, you pretty much have it covered, save for specialty hardware like a GPS receiver, WiFi adapter or bluetooth dongle.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

    Hi!
yes English is not my primary language...
I bought from Wal-mart (I'm in USA so i'm trying to buy every thing I can)
    this Inverter
    http://www.originalpower.com/index.p...=37&Itemid=110
I bought it for my MIO PDA GPS that I cannot find charger for it...
but will it be good for me? is the laptop the only device that will need this kind of inverter?

or should I buy something like this:

You're better off getting an auto power adapter for your specific laptop model. You can find them on EBay cheap. You can also check the manufacturer's website.

    That universal adapter may work.
Understand that some (not many) laptops require two voltages of DC, and I doubt that universal model would work in that situation. You can look at the AC power brick and see what voltage your laptop requires, It would the be output voltage listed on the power brick.
