    installing software without dvd drive

    okay so i managed to break my dvd drive while doing my car install and i havent bought another one, but i want to install ms streets and trips 07 so i have gps in my car, is there a way to put it on a flash drive so i can install it from there?

    Yep, just copy the entire contents of the disc to a folder in your flash drive, then run the setup.

    yea i tried to do that but there was an error, maybe the flash drive i used wasnt big enough? I will try again tomorrow.

    You could place the cd-rom in another machine and enable file sharing on the cd-rom device and install it via your local area network connection. You could use an ISO image utility such as UltraISO to create an image of the disc. You could then copy the ISO file to your machine via usb, network, etc. You then mount the image with a utility such as Daemon Tools or VirtualCDRom.
