I just purchased a 96 Audi A4 and it has a carPC of some kind. I know it is running XP with Centrafuse, but I don't know what PC is in the car and I didn't get any info on the system with car. I want to know basic wiring of the PC, the wiring on the pc is a mess and I want to clean it up and I dont know were to start. I also would like to know some basic setup info so I can setup the carPC how I want it. I am really interested in the whole carPC system and I wont to know were to start. Can anyone get me headed in the right direction.

The only ones going into the CarPC from an OEM component would be power from the battery. Pretty much everything else goes out of the PC (Video, Audio, ect...), or is something that was added that goes into the PC (Touchscreen, Maybe Sirius/XM or HD Radio, Wifi, bluetooth, ect...)

That is a mess...
But it shouldnt be too hard to figure out what is what. You can see where they plug in and you know where they lead too.
USB to the devices. As you unplug one, something will disappear in the Device Manager
Video, obviously goes to the screen
Power to battery, ignition source, chassis
Sound outputs to amp

haha did you do a search in the "show of your ride" section see if it was one of ours lol but does look like a bit of a mess
good to know im not the only one that thinks its a mess. I will post some more pics when i get it cleaned up thanks for the advice.
