Hi all, this is my first post on these forums, so I am still very new to all this. I find myself here from a car modification background, and not from a computer/it background, so a lot of my questions will probably be very basic to you computer people!

I basically going to try and build a machine that can play music and dvds and navigation, so shouldn't need to be too high spec.

So I am starting this project, and having been looking into power supplies. I read the FAQ's on the subject on this site as well as this guide here http://www.carnetix.com/regulators/h...coose_psu.html so I now know that I want a DC-DC ATX PSU.

I then found myself on this page here http://www.mini-itx.com/store/default.asp?c=10#ac60 but kind of hit a wall as I dont have enough technical knowledger. What is the difference between them all. Roughly how much power will I need. Will they all work? Are the ones specially designed for in car use the best to go for? Will I need anything else to poer the PC, regulator, or startup/shut down switchs etc etc.

Finally, I figure I am going to start by selecting the power supply, and then I will work out motherboard, harddrive, etc etc. Is this a good route or should I pick the PSU last?
