as long as your amp turn on wire will be constant on with about 12v until you turn it off, should work as ignition switch. I put mine to a Cig lighter thats ignition controlled.

oh, and if you hook up the vga to an RCA, you will get crappy picture quality.
RCA only puts out 640*480 i think.

yeah, that's an Amp turn-on wire. You would use that if you use an amp. It'll turn on the amp After the PC is on.

Cool, The computer turns on but no picture. I bought a VGA SVGA to RCA S-Video AV TV Adapter Converter Cable N so I can hook my monitor up with RCA jacks. Do you see any problems with that? My touch screen stereo can only take RCA's.

Have you tried connecting this to a normal monitor?
Try doing this as you would a normal PC just to get the PC working first.

That may be a problem. If it is just a cable with VGA connector on one end and RCA on the other end it is likely intended for laptops and graphics cards that have TV out features on VGA connector. Most of the time these adapters won't work. For example, small print on this page (ebay link) state:

    7. Make sure this cable woks well, please check your laptops / desktops manual to make sure that your VGA card has TV output function capability through VGA.
If it is a proper scan converter box then it should work.

Thanks a lot for all the help. I hooked up a monitor from another computer and installed an OS to the carpc. The carpc ran great, but only has 100GB. I will up grade that soon. The reason I installed an OS was to see if the VGA plug worked with some drivers installed. No luck. I searched online a found "VGA To AV Converter S-Video TV Switch Box Laptop PC " for $26 and I think that this will solve the problem. I will let you know when it comes. I will post some pics when I get everything in. This is the last installment. Thank

OK, I still can not figure out what the two thin red and black wires are? I put a switch on the wires. It just powered the computer on and bypassed the remote wire. Any thoughts?

Does any one know how to get the best quality video for my computer. I have a Power Accustik PTIF-7350NBT and it appears to only have AV in. It does have a circle connector on the back of the head unit. Maybe its a VGA? Help
