    What can i expect??

I have an 87 grand national I am looking to outfit with a carputer and wondering if my expectations are realistic?

    1. If i have GPS, would there be a way to track my car in real time?
    2. How hard is it to control the A/C through the computer if its manual controls?
    3. Has anyone tried using a rearview mirror lcd? Or maybe use their passenger sunvisor for the lcd? I would hate to cut into my dash and if i do i will need to remove the a/c controls( which is why i ask question #2)
    4. How important is the touchscreen? Maybe do like the bmw control on a regular lcd? Cause if its on the passenger side or rearview mirror most likely not be touching it very much

It seems the capabilities would be perfect for my car if i could only set it up... I can imagine running my tunning program and a Tire pressure monitoring system while at the track would be amazing!!!

    1. Yes.
    2. Difficult to configure, in my opinion. It is certainly possible.
    3. Yes. Thy are TV-quality, which is lower resolution than most PCs. I wouldn't expect a quality image on such a unit.
    4. Touchscreen is just a convenient means of control. It is not necessary by any means.
Have you looked in the FAQ yet?
    How about the Wiki?

Under normal circumstances, a signature would go here.
