Hi all,
A while ago I put one of those crappy (Ebay) Chinese touchscreen HUs in my car as an interim measure, until I worked up the cash and nerve to do a full blown carputer. Well, the meantime is over and it's time to rock!
As far as building a system and connectivity goes, I think I have it pretty much down- except for how to get audio from the pc to the speakers?
Car is a '07 Mazda MX-5 (Miata), using the factory BOSE amp and 7 speaker system. There are no RCA connections or anything in the wiring harness. Just a few power/control wires for the amp, and the +/- for each audio channel.
Soooo... I'm guessing I'll need some sort of intermediate box between the pc and amp... But what?? Any help is greatly appreciated, guys. I'm not even sure what to look up for this![]()

I told my psychiatrist that everyone hates me. He said I was being ridiculous - everyone hasn't met me yet .
The best way to go is to use a DAC... its small and USB powered. Works like a champ. The way it works.... USB to DAC... DAC has Audio cables out... 4 channel too... Just hook up the audio cables from the DAC to your Amp.
Very simple... and little power.
I have one for sale if you are interested.
