problem! LOC signal not going stereo problem!

hello, i just put in my new subs and amp over the weekend.

problem: when I plug the Line out converters' stereo audio output to the stereo amp, the subs r only at about 1/3 power, and sounds funny.
but when i unplug one of the stereo, so its mono, one sub is then pound like it should, and of course the other doesn't do anything. so i wired the two subs together to the same input and output on just the left side and bam, normal and pounds running on mono. i even try to combine the stereo output signals to one, but same problem, even when the subs are wired together.

What is wrong with it? did i wired anything wrong?

hook up:
power: battery > fuse block > amp(1200watts)
Signal: Rear speakers (soldered > Line out converter > stereo input on amp > subs (500watts each)
Remote: 12v lighter (hardwired> on/off switch > amp
power wires are 10 gauge, remotes are 16, and audio r 16-18 and regular plug type, everythings grounded and tested

Sounds like the right channel on the amp is bad. Try reversing the input side of the amp. Hook the left audio cable to the right input on the amp, and the right audio cable to the left input on the amp. The hook one sub to the right amp output. Test the sound. Then hook the same sub to the left side and test the sound again. If the right side still only gives you 1/3 the output, your amp is bad.
